About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Media and Administrative Officer to provide high level support to the Centre for Health Technology within the Faculty of Health.

You will be responsible for the delivery and continuous development of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient administrative support service.

You will be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment and will provide administrative support to the Centre for Health Technology Director as well as across a range of research projects within the centre.

You will develop close working relationships with academic and departmental colleagues at all levels to provide advice, support, and signposting across the centre. This will include liaising with key collaborators, funders and other third parties to build and maintain strong relationships to ensure successful delivery of a variety of projects as well as to contribute to the overall organisation of the centre.

You will hold numeracy and literacy at secondary education level along with having educational attainment at further education level (or demonstrable equivalent experience). You will be required to have an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint and databases and hold a relevant administrative qualification/training, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of providing administrative support is required as well as skills in managing and updating webpages, liaising with PR and marketing teams and proficiency in social media (ideally LinkedIn, X and BlueSky).

This is a part-time position working up to 25.9 hours per week on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to commence 1st April 2025 for up to 10 months.

Interviews are likely to take place in-person on the 27th February 2025 and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Although we can acommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
