We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow or Assistant Professor to join an internationally collaborative and multidisciplinary project evaluating primary health care reform in Georgia. It seeks to generate new evidence to inform PHC reform and strengthen Health Policy and Systems Research capacity in Georgia and elsewhere.
The postholder will have a postgraduate degree (Research Fellow) or doctoral degree (Assistant Professor) in a relevant topic. They must have a track record in conducting qualitative studies and health system analysis and experience of engaging communities in research. They will have a good knowledge of key issues around health systems in different countries and an interest in capacity-strengthening activities.
The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 October 2027. The post is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research and is available from 01 March 2025.
The salary will be on the Academic scale, Research Fellow Grade 6 in the range £44,847 - £50,808, or Assistant Professor Grade 7 in the range £52,199 - £59,623 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
