Location: The Francis Crick Institute, Midland Road, London
Contract: 9-month FTC, part-time (4 days per week)
About the role…
Working closely with our Marketing Manager, this role will support the marketing activity across our programme of public events and exhibitions; leading on projects from marketing for Discovery Day, our flagship family event, through to our current exhibition ‘Hello Brain’.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional with a track record of delivering marketing for cultural organisations to work in a mission focussed, varied role. We are looking for individuals who are bold in their approach, audience focussed and will support the delivery of a number of exciting projects.
What you will be doing…
As a Marketing Officer at the Crick, you will:
- Lead on all marketing activity for Discovery Day, the Crick’s flagship family event
- Provide marketing support for the Crick’s Hello Brain exhibition
- Supporting the marketing for the Crick’s upcoming public exhibition, which will be delivered in partnership with external stakeholders
- Supporting the marketing for other public engagement projects where appropriate
- Working with the wider Communications team to identify opportunities to collaborate and supporting cross-team projects.
About you…
You will bring…
- Good level of experience in a marketing role, preferably within a cultural, non-profit or academic institution.
- Experience in devising and implementing creative marketing campaigns to time and budget.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, e-newsletters and familiarity with email campaign platforms.
- An understanding of market research and evaluation methods and using audience-insight to drive marketing campaigns.
- Experience of working closely with designers to develop and deliver effective marketing.
- Experience working on campaigns targeting families, students, or science enthusiasts is a plus.
- Creative, resourceful and imaginative, with an interest and enthusiasm for engaging public audiences.
