Through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Programme, SmartViz Ltd. in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast have an exciting employment opportunity for a motivated graduate to work on an innovative project that integrates cutting-edge AI IoT, Smart Buildings, Smart Cities and digital twin technologies, to reliably predict and optimise building and urban performance for carbon emissions and user experience (amongst other variables).

This role is company-based at SmartViz in London and will be delivered in collaboration with the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen’s.

The successful candidate will become part of a team within SmartViz, working with our Product Development as well as Professional Services teams – investigating and applying emerging technologies as well as steer the development of new and existing technologies. You will work on international projects with high profile clients, developing and implementing cutting edge software development, data analytics and integrations with IoT, AI and digital twin.

We deliver better outcomes for energy use, space optimisation, and occupant productivity and wellbeing through our technology, which provides actionable insights on where energy and space are being wasted. About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Hold at least a 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely relateddiscipline; or hold a 2.2 Honours Degree with a relevant Master's Level qualification
  • Substantial experience as a fullstack software developer
  • Strong frontend development skills (React.js w/ typescript)
  • Strong backend development skills (Django and Python)
  • Strong numerical analysis and problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about technical challenges.
