Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for an experienced Examinations Manager to lead our brilliant team of Examinations Assistants and Sessional Invigilators. This role is based at our iconic Roundhouse Campus with responsibility for exams across all our four campuses. The Opportunity
Within this pivotal role, you’ll have overall responsibility for the management and administration of all aspects of examinations and assessments for a large and complex multi-campus College supporting 14,000 students.
You’ll manage a team of 8 Examinations Assistants, as well as our Sessional Invigilators, overseeing the timetabling and facilitation of all examinations throughout the academic year.
A key part of this role will be to manage, evaluate and improve the systems within the department ensuring the most efficient processes are employed to meet the requirements of the College and Awarding Organisations (AOs). You’ll do this by providing inspirational leadership to ensure that the function operates at the highest level for all College students and staff.

About you
To excel in this role, you’ll have great communication and interpersonal skills, alongside being adaptable and flexible. You’ll be an experienced leader with the ability to influence, negotiate and effect change with stakeholders at all levels.
You’ll currently be, or will have recently held, a position as an Examinations Manager within a Further Education setting, large MAT, or large independent education provider. Knowledge of all AOs and requirements plus experience with student records/examinations systems (e.g. Tribal EBS) is essential.
