We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to work on a new project funded by the Medical Research Foundation (MRF), called ECHO-ADHD. This project will focus on understanding experiences, health needs and access to healthcare services of people aged 50+ with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

You will be based in the Department of Psychology at the University of Liverpool, and will join an active and collaborative team, committed to improving the lives of neurodivergent people. You will also collaborate closely with ADAPT Lab, based at UCL: www.adaptlab.net. We have a strong track-record in training early-career researchers, and this will be an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to develop in their career.

You will: (1) lead on running qualitative interviews with adults aged 50+ with ADHD, (2) assist with project administration (e.g. organising meetings), and (3) liaise with a range of stakeholders and organisations to ensure successful delivery of the project.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a Psychology-related BSc. The right candidate will have strong social skills (to build rapport with participants and diverse team members), as well as an excellent attention to detail and planning/organisational skills. We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of the issues facing neurodivergent people (particularly people with ADHD). See the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.

We particularly encourage applications from neurodivergent people, and from people who are likely to be under-represented in the academic workforce. This may include people with disabilities and people from minority ethnic backgrounds.

The post is available for 19 months.

If you have any queries about the role, please contact Dr. Amber John (ajohn@liverpool.ac.uk).
