Chair of Gynaecological Oncology – University of Edinburgh
The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Chair of Gynaecological Oncology at the Centre for Reproductive Health (CRH), within the Institute of Regeneration and Repair (IRR). The successful candidate will lead an internationally recognised research programme, focusing on endometrial cancer and early cancer detection, and drive collaborations with the Institute of Genetics and Cancer and Cancer Research UK Scotland Centre. You will provide strategic leadership for the future of gynaecological oncology research, both locally and globally, with the potential for clinical sessions as an Honorary Consultant in NHS Lothian.
This post is open ended (permanent) and full-time (40 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Placement on the payscale will be subject to consultant seniority as per the Clinical Consultant Contract. The successful applicant will be also be offered an additional Academic EPA. You must appear on the GMC Specialist Register and be eligible to hold an honorary consultant contract with NHS Lothian. If you are currently a member of the NHS Pension Scheme and are employed in a clinical post it may be possible for you to remain a member of the NHS Pension Scheme. The salary for this post is AMN4 £107,144 to £142,369 per annum.
