About the role
Programme Leaders in the Centre for Educational Leadership are creative, motivated and solution focused leaders of both programmes and people with successful, credible experience in the leadership of learning, equity and diversity.
Successful candidates for this role will mainly focus on Area 1 and contribute to Area’s 2 and 3
Area 1. The successful candidate will take a lead on Early Career Teacher Entitlement programmes, with a focus on the ITTECF 2025 Contract applicable from September 2025. They will work collaboratively with existing programme leaders and administrative staff to ensure the success of this contract. The core purpose of this role is to ensure that, as the UCL ECTE programme develops, there is a continued focus on high quality delivery at scale.
Area 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned Leadership Development programmes including the National Professional Qualifications and CEL’s Suite of Leadership programmes for early and middle leaders, working collaboratively with existing programme leaders and administrative staff to ensure the success of the programme. The programme leader will have strategic responsibility for specific areas across all Leadership Development programmes including having oversight of programme management systems and processes.
Area 3. The successful candidate will take a lead on a range of bespoke Leadership Development programmes and consultancy projects in the UK and internationally, including CEL’s suite of leadership programmes for early and middle leaders.The role will involve leading multiple teams across different projects as well as collaborating with centre colleagues in leading and contributing to existing programmes and projects.

About you
You will have a successful career as a school leader with demonstrable knowledge of current teacher and leadership development models and leadership policy and practices.
You will also have an excellent understanding of current education policy in London and national contexts.
