Do you have the drive and ambition to join our talented Information Services Team at one of North Wales’ leading Higher Education Institutions? At Wrexham University we have ambitious plans to expand and invest both in terms of student numbers, innovative teaching and learning spaces, and providing great support for flexible and accessible learning. This is an exciting time for the University, and we are now looking to appoint a Virtual Learning Environment Development Manager.
This is a key appointment for the University, reporting to the Digital Solutions Manager and accountable for a leading a team responsible for supporting students and staff in the use of digital learning platforms and take overall responsibility for them. This includes the configuration of LTi’s, and plugins between different digital platforms. You will support the Digital Solutions Manager by identifying future digital projects and provide strategic lead in the development and delivery of digital resources and the use of Learning and IT technologies.
In addition, you will support programme leads on our WU online courses to ensure courses are of the highest quality and meet Copyright and accessibility standards whilst working with academic and professional services staff to develop effective relationships of influence and trust and ensuring the embedding of digital in working practices across the University.
To be successful in the role you will be an established HE service professional with excellent administration knowledge in digital learning platforms and the ability to be responsible for multiple digital projects ensuring they are embedded in working and teaching practice and be able to deliver these on time and in budget. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable however not essential.
