About the Role
Applications are sought for Research Technician who will provide technical support for the Sharp Group’s cancer research projects especially related to BCN and miRNA-RISC biology/projects to enable members to efficiently carry out their research projects. research technician will be based in Professor Tyson Sharp’s group as part of the BCN and miRNA-RISC projects and the CCMB’s research support team, being mutually supportive and covering duties as necessary during colleagues’ absences and at times of additional pressure.
The post holder is expected to actively participate in the CCMB and the Centre’s scientific meetings, including lab meetings and journal clubs and lead (with supervision from Pi and PDRAs ) in the bioinformatics of RSIC biology and LIMD1 biology.

The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations.
