About the role:

Imperial College School of Medicine is seeking to continually improve its quality assurance model for the MBBS programme. We are seeking a quality minded health care professional to work as part of an effective and cohesive academic and professional services team to further improve our QA model.

We work collaboratively across the Medical School, the Department of Primary Care and with our NHS and GP colleagues in the community. Our aim is to maintain the highest standards of undergraduate clinical education within primary care. This model may be extended to include other healthcare settings and NGO placements as required.

What you would be doing:

Working as part of a team you will contribute to planning and implementing a detailed analysis of our existing Quality Assurance cycles for Primary and Secondary Care clinical placements. As a team we will review recommended improvements against established good practice and desired outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to teaching activity on the MBBS programme which will be commensurate with your clinical skills and experience.

The role will require you to develop and maintain project documentation and appropriate records to demonstrate, deliver and evaluate against agreed project aims and outcomes. To achieve this, you will facilitate constructive collaboration with a broad range of partners including students, alumni, accrediting bodies, and employers.

You will also work with the Department of Primary Care, NHS WT&E Training Hub, Primary Care Network, and senior faculty to support and implement an evaluation of the effectiveness of the changes, ensuring that this informs continued improvement and, where appropriate, contribute to the wider disciplinary literature on medical education.

If you have an enquiring mind, a collaborative work ethic and proven interest in ensuring that students have the best learning experiences in an outstanding medical school you should apply using the links provided.

What we are looking for:

  • Applicants will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships with people operating at different levels across the organisation. Other key attributes include:
  • Registered healthcare professionals with experience of delivering clinical education and a proven interest in quality assurance.

What we can offer you:

  • Grow in your career with tailored training programmes for academic staff including dedicated support with navigating your career and managing research.
  • Sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 39 days off a year and generous pension schemes).
  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources designed to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
