About the Role
We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a great team for an HR Operations Team Leader. This role is a part of the University's HR Department, working within the HR Operations function, to lead, manage and oversee the day-to-day work of a team of Administrators to enable the University to attract, hire and retain the people it needs to achieve its strategic aims.
This role is at the very heart of our business - and at the very forefront of our employee life-cycle journey as a key touchpoint for our stakeholders and employed colleagues. It sits within a large team that will be facilitating liaisons with other teams within the wider department – like the Recruitment team, Visa & Immigration team, and the Payroll and Pensions team. The Team Leader will support and enhance people management practices, systems’ data-integrity, and the interpretation and implementation of relevant HR policies and procedures.
About You
You will have a minimum of a BTEC/Higher National Certificate or equivalent, with a minimum of a Level 3 CIPD certificate. You will have good demonstrable experience in managing a team of HR administrators. Experience in the Higher Education or NHS sector will be strongly preferred. You will have the ability to performance-manage direct reports confidently whilst effortlessly liaising with demanding stakeholders. You will have excellent process improvement and training skills, with experience of working on HRIS (preferably ResourceLink).
About the Department
The HR department sits within the Professional Services Directorate and is part of the professional services group that enables and facilitates the success of our students and academics. Along with other professional service areas, the HR department seeks to deliver value for money through efficiency, economy, effectiveness and equity.

We continue to embrace diversity of thought and opinion in everything we do, in the belief that when views collide, disciplines interact, and perspectives intersect, truly original thought takes form.

We offer competitive salaries, access to a generous pension scheme, 30 days’ leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time/fixed-term), a season ticket loan scheme and access to a comprehensive range of personal and professional development opportunities.
