The University of Salford Web Team is growing.

As part of the team, you’ll be playing an important role from the start, using your knowledge and experience to drive improvements. We’re looking for people with skills in SEO, Content Development and UX... but mostly we’re looking for people with a passion for building great websites that work for our users.

In your role as Web SEO Officer, you will provide SEO and Technical SEO expertise to deliver optimum ranking results for the university website. There will also be a requirement to develop Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) guidance within the team and advise on best practice to achieve effective conversion.

A key focus of the role will be to develop strategies to enhance our organic web performance and improve traffic, from both a quality and volume perspective.  The primary focus of the role is to devise strategies to improve organic web traffic and establish a consistent approach to SEO that feeds into our broader digital marketing strategy.

You will evaluate marketing content against search, branding and accessibility objectives, and ensure it is published in the correct manner and in line with SEO principles. You'll work with colleagues within the Web Team and the broader Marketing department to develop and create SEO optimised content.

You'll manage our Tag Manager, Analytics and Search Console accounts ensuring they collect the right information and that this information is effectively shared with colleagues across the University.
