The role
This exciting opportunity offers you a role working on evidence synthesis projects as part of the HIPPY research programme based in the Musculoskeletal Research Unit, Bristol Medical School. HIPPY is a NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Research and involves a multidisciplinary team looking to establish which implants are best for patients <70 years of age receiving primary hip replacement.
What will you be doing?
The postholder will be working on evidence synthesis projects as part of the HIPPY Programme. This will involve updating our previous systematic review on outcomes for the different implant types and conducting reviews to understand risk factors and outcomes for younger and older patients receiving hip replacement. With support from the wider HIPPY team, the postholder will be responsible for designing and running the searches, screening, data extraction, conducting meta-analysis/narrative synthesis and dissemination of findings.
You should apply if
You have a strong background in evidence synthesis, a postgraduate research degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline, and experience of publishing findings in peer-review journals.
