Background
Under the direction of the Senior Admissions Officer, this post-holder will be expected to contribute to the University’s Admissions Service by supporting all aspects of the admissions team.
The Admissions Service provides a number of essential services to the University, which are central to supporting recruitment targets and ensuring the admission of high-quality students.
Responsibilities
Working in the University Central Admissions Team you will be supporting the team and be responsible for providing a high level of support for the Admissions Teams, including acting as a first point of contact for enquiries from applicants.
The post holder should be a confident communicator with high quality of customer service skills, be proficient in the use of Microsoft software such as Word and Excel, have attention to detail and a willingness to support a wide range of admissions-related tasks. Support, training and development will be provided where necessary for the postholder to carry out their role and responsibilities.
Person Specification
Educated to A level or equivalent or equivalent office administration experience
Experience of using of IT systems, including the use of MS Office packages.
Good communication and strong interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people in a professional and friendly manner.
A flexible approach to work and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
