We are seeking a highly motivated and talented CT /interventional radiographer with an interest in Cardiac imaging to work within our research/clinical facility, the Acute Multidisciplinary Imaging and Interventional Centre (AMIIC). The unique centre includes a hybrid unit combining a photon-counting Siemens Naeotom Alpha CT Scanner integrated with a brand new cardiac catheterisation lab / interventional lab (Siemens ARTIS Icono Biplane). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting prototype technologies (hardware and software) and contribute to the cutting-edge scientific projects of the University of Oxford. The radiographer, whilst being an employee of the University of Oxford, will also be involved in the provision of a highly patient orientated, clinical service for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We require someone who will enjoy working in a friendly, cutting edge environment, performing advanced procedures (using clinical and research techniques) as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, radiographers, nurses, physiologists and researchers spanning 'both' University of Oxford and NHS Departments. Due to the expansion of both the clinical and research service, a flexible approach to weekend and evening work will be required. The post holder will ideally be expected to rotate between both the CT and Interventional services allowing for a flexible working team.
You will hold a BSc degree or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography with substantial experience in both a range of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures including cardiac work and with experience in a range of diagnostic interventional procedures. You will be a registered practitioner with HCPC. It is desirable for the post holder to have experience in Cardiac Catheterisation Lab work and to have a Society of Radiographers Certificate of IV Administration.
The post is full time (part time will be considered minimum 18.75 hours) and fixed-term for up to 3 years in the first instance.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
Only applications received before midday on 20th February 2025 will be considered. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 4th March 2025.
