This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative partnership between the University of the West of England (UWE) and WASE Limited under the UK Government sponsored Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. The position is a 36-month fixed term contract, which includes management and business skills training provided by the national KTP programme and a further £6k per annum dedicated training budget tailored towards your personal development. WASE’s purpose is to protect the planet for future generations by ensuring we live sustainably.
They have made it their mission to unlock the power of waste and make it the fuel of the future. WASE aims to accelerate the global adoption of circular waste treatment through affordable and accessible innovation.
With specialist support from the College of Arts, Technology and Engineering academic team at UWE Bristol, you will lead on a 36-month project where you will revolutionise wastewater management by advancing machine learning-based soft sensing technology for industrial use within WASE’s Electro-Methanogenesis Reactor (EMR) industrial systems. This project will provide key monitoring metrics for stakeholders, driving advancements in industrial optimisation and setting new standards in sustainability and wastewater management.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 36 months, working 37.5 hours per week.
