We are looking for two experienced Research Finance Manager to oversee the post-award financial management of a portfolio of complex research projects.

This is a challenging but highly rewarding opportunity. The post-holder will be the key business partner for a faculty on post-award issues, working closely with faculty leadership. They will be responsible for delivery of an efficient, customer-focused service to the faculty, identifying and resolving issues, and driving long term improvements collaboratively including through process and system development.
You must be educated to a degree level (equivalent), or hold equivalent relevant experience. You must have experience of leading a team, and of working in a finance role, ideally in higher education research administration. Experience of introducing policies, procedures, processes and systems effectively, and managing change is essential. You should be able to prioritise their workload effectively to meet often conflicting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and to use their judgement to resolve issues independently. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 7 in the range £52,199 - £59,623 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
