City St George’s, University of London is the University of business, practice and the professions and brings together the expertise and excellence of City, University of London and St George’s, University of London into one institution. The combined university is now one of the largest higher education destinations for London students, combining a breadth of disciplines across health, business, policy, law, creativity, communications, science and technology. Our students are at the heart of everything that we do, and we are committed to supporting them to pursue their career and personal ambitions.
Our research is engaged, at the frontier of practice and has a positive impact on the world around us.
Background
Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) is among the small group of business schools with an established reputation for excellence in both business research and education. Bayes holds the “triple-crown” accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). The school and its programmes are consistently ranked among the best in the world.
Bayes is not complacent about its achievements. On the contrary, we will be seeking to significantly develop our research and education and, critically, our engagement with practice. We are conscious that business schools are experiencing disruption in how research is undertaken and disseminated, how education is delivered and what is expected by business and society from a business school.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include coordinating research project activities with internal and external partners, conducting literature reviews, applying for research funding, and managing research plans. The role involves data collection, analysis, and summarising findings, along with disseminating research through publications and presentations. Teaching support (up to 20%) is also expected.
Person Specification
The candidate would hold a PhD Finance or a related field; must demonstrate independent research skills and have interests that resonate with one of the Faculty’s Research Centres. This role requires a motivated individual capable of contributing meaningfully to our research community and supporting the faculty’s strategic goals. Evidence of strong administrative and organisational skills, including project management. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collegially, collaboratively, and flexibly.

The role is available from 4th August 2025.
Closing date: 12th February 2025 at 11:59pm.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on 10th March 2025.
