The School of Economics is growing and is seeking to appoint a Post-Doctoral Researcher. The research focus of this post is on sorting in the labour market, and the post is funded by the UKRI Horizon Europe Guarantee Grant “Multidimensional Sorting with Imperfectly Transferable Utility”. The successful candidate is expected to support the Principal Investigator (Dr Paweł Gola) in achieving the goals of the project; there are no teaching obligations connected to this post.
Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to producing internationally excellent research. An ideal candidate would have demonstrated proficiency with structural modelling of the labour market, but candidates with demonstrable familiarity with sorting/matching models will be considered even without experience with data analysis. Applicants should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in economics or related field, and have demonstrable potential to publish their research in leading refereed journals.
Informal enquiries may be made to Dr. Paweł Gola, Associate Professor of Economics: Pawel.Gola@ed.ac.uk
Your skills and attributes for success:
Please note that the University of Edinburgh defines completion of a PhD as the submission of the corrected thesis following the candidate’s viva examination, or when the candidate receives confirmation that there are no corrections to address.
