The College
The College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare (CNMH) is a major provider of pre-registration and post-qualifying nursing, midwifery, paramedic, ODP, public health and apprenticeship education.
Our Midwifery provision encompasses the below pre-registration routes:
We offer a range of post-qualifying modules including Midwives and Critical Care Practice, Professional Midwifery Advocacy and Leadership, Examination of the Newborn and Caring for Families Experiencing Perinatal Loss.
Our provision is delivered across two main campuses West London (Brentford) and Reading in Berkshire, both of which are served by state of the art simulation centres (including virtual reality and immersive rooms).
This post will be based at the UWL Brentford campus, with travel to the Berkshire Institute for Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare in Reading and practice partner sites expected.

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare as the Lead Midwife for Education/Head of Midwifery. This follows promotion of the current post-holder. The post will encompass:
The Person
You will be registered with the NMC as a Midwife, hold a Master’s degree, a teaching qualification and Fellow / Senior Fellowship with the HEA.
You will have experience of leading on curricula and module development of pre and post registration midwifery courses and the quality assurance processes associated with these, in higher education, in the UK.
You will act as the ‘champion’ for midwifery at UWL, ensuring new opportunities are sought and developed.
Finally, you will have experience of leadership and management of a team.
