Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).
Flexible working will still need to be on hand during lab practicals, and the times/days for these change from semester to semester.
Applications must be received by midnight of the closing date.
Expected Interview date: To be confirmed - in person interview is expected.
Expected start date: Feb/March 2025.
About the role
Applications are sought for a teaching lab technician to help manage and run the teaching labs within the physics department in the school of Mathematics and Physical Sciences (MPS) and for the school of Education and Social Work (ESW).
About you
We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a laboratory setting, and willing to learn how to set up and maintain the equipment. Most of the role will be dedicated to setting up and taking down experiments as we switch between different lab practicals through the week. The role is also split evenly between the two schools, which are both sharing the same laboratory space.
No prior experience is necessary, but familiarity with physics, biology, and chemistry laboratories at university level would be helpful.
