The Office for Institutional Equity (OIE) is the first department of its kind in the UK. It has specific responsibility for addressing inequalities within the institution by crafting balanced cultural changes that will positively impact the University community. About the Job

An opportunity to join a unique team with a specific responsibility for addressing inequalities within the institution by creating sustainable cultural changes that positively impact the University community. We are looking for a meticulous and organised office Administrator with a passion for Equality Diversity and Inclusion to join in our efforts to advance an inclusive, equitable, respectful, and anti-racist environment for staff, students and stakeholders.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting management staff in an administrative role and also experience of events management, general knowledge of procurement procedures and financial planning.

You will have strong interpersonal skills, and are able to accurately and articulately deliver complex information in simple terms, then this role is for you.

Admin support for the OIE team including: Organising note taking for OIE team meetings; Liaising with staff, students, and external clients on behalf of the management team; Plan, organise and maintain electronic diaries and meetings management systems;

Support the EDI Officer with the administration, planning and delivery of various EDI events, activities and initiatives.

Keep record of office transactions; Process financial transactions through UEL’s payment and invoicing systems

Act as office manager ensuring the smooth running of the department
