The Education and Economics subject area, in Department of Economics and Finance at Brunel University London is offering a PhD studentship, supported by the EU-funded BRIDGE project. The studentship is for a period of 46 months starting on 1st April 2025. The successful applicant will also receive payment of UK/home tuition fees. The studentship is open to UK/EU applicants only; International applicants will not be considered for these bursaries.
About the PhD
The participation rate of young adults attending higher education has increased. At the same time, non-completion has also increased. So it is important to consider not only higher education access to also higher education completion and success. Within the predetermined topic, the candidate will explore the system level determinants (including social, ethical, economic, political, and historical dimensions) of participation and completion rates in tertiary education.
Eligibility
The studentship is awarded based on outstanding academic merit.
Candidates should have an undergraduate degree (first or upper second class) in a relevant subject. A Master’s degree is essential, preferably at distinction level or equivalent.
