The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the new role of Senior Project Manager to lead our expanding Strategic Projects team. This is an exciting time to join the team and wider Planning & Strategic Projects Directorate as we are supporting a portfolio of new strategic projects for the University. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager who can combine their understanding of project management processes and tools with an ability to connect and communicate with University leaders, key stakeholders, and project team members to ensure that the University’s portfolio of strategic projects are delivered with the desired benefits on time and on budget.
You will be responsible for leading the Strategic Projects team, reporting to the Director of Planning and Strategic Projects, and supporting a diverse range of the University’s strategic projects, starting with a key transformational project – Supporting Academic Innovation and Learning (SAIL) which will deliver on the implementation of the new academic framework designed to improve student outcomes and support the university’s sustainability.
Key responsibilities will include:
You will have significant demonstrable experience of delivering successful projects in a complex environment and supporting large cross-institutional change/transformation projects. You will be a skilled planner and organiser, who uses formal project management techniques to manage the concept, definition and delivery stages of projects, coordinate the work of project teams and ensure that work is delivered to agreed standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and further advance a new Strategic Projects service within the University of Roehampton, working closely with the Director of Planning and Strategic Projects and senior University Executive colleagues.
