About the College/Department

The school of Nursing and Midwifery provides a wide range of programmes from undergraduate nursing and nursing associate courses to post graduate programmes that support the delivery of care within healthcare practice. As a School we seek to deliver excellence in all areas of academic activity, including our teaching and research. About the Role

We are delighted to advertise this role of Associate Lecturer in Midwifery to support the Midwifery pathway of our FdSc Assistant Practitioner programme. The successful applicant will be a qualified midwife with outstanding knowledge and skills in the field of Midwifery. The successful candidate will be delivering the content of midwifery modules to student Assistant Practitioners. The successful applicant will be required to use the VLE to deliver content to students synchronously through live online sessions and asynchronously through student discussion areas. They will also be required to mark student work within the required timeframes.  

Actual hours and days will be described in a ‘Schedule of Work’.

About You

We are seeking an NMC registered midwife to join our team. We would welcome applications from candidates with experience of online module development, and experience of relevant transferable skills in these areas from beyond higher education. You should be passionate about supporting the development and growth of future practitioners in the field. Excellence in communication, team and collaborative working are essential.
