The Menon lab has a full-time Research Associate position available to unravel how lung-infiltrating B cells contribute to chronic lung disease. Utilizing a combination of tissue and blood samples from patients/ controls, in vivo disease models and cutting-edge technologies, the successful candidate will investigate how B cells interact with the lung microenvironment, alter the extracellular matrix and promote tissue inflammation in COPD and other chronic lung diseases.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and creative researcher with a strong background in immunology. Skills/ requirements include:
Funding for the position is available for 4 years. The Menon lab is located within the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation at The University of Manchester, which provides a creative, inspiring and inclusive environment with wide-ranging expertise and interests.
Start date: As close to April 2025 as possible
