About the role
We are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge, and ability to provide our students with training, teaching and support for the use of a variety of imaging and physiochemical characterization equipment as well as the provision of teaching, training and support with related sample preparations, the setup and clean-up of teaching laboratories for our taught BSc and MSc courses and the contribution to laboratory-based teaching.
The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance and running of the equipment to a high standard and ensure that all health and safety regulations are complied with. The postholder will also be required to assist academic staff with student teaching.

About you
The post holder must have good general education to BSc, MSc levels or equivalent or having acquired substantial relevant experience.
Experience of handling and preparing biological samples for analysis and imaging.
Experience of working in a laboratory environment.
The successful candidate must also have the ability to teach laboratory techniques to students and advise on appropriate use of methodology and methodical problem solving.
Research background with experience in tissue and/or cellular/molecular biology.
Experience of being in a safety role would be advantageous.
