The role
In Spring 2024, Oxford Brookes announced the launch of a Strategic Transformation Programme to support its future financial sustainability and ensure the University’s portfolio of programmes remains fit for the future needs of students.
Based at our Headington Campus and reporting to the Head of Communications, the Transformation Communications Lead will provide strategic leadership for communications on the programme. You will work with a range of internal and senior stakeholders, advising and supporting leaders from across the University on employee engagement and communication opportunities.
You will be a creative, innovative and highly organised individual, with keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience of advising senior staff on complex change and transformation issues. You will have strong digital, verbal, and written communication skills, will be able to create clear and compelling content for internal audiences and deliver a significant impact through your communications.

What will I be doing?
An integral part of the Oxford Brookes Communications team, the Transformation Communications Lead will play a key role in engaging and supporting those affected by the Strategic Transformation Programme. You will lead the development, coordination and delivery of integrated communications plans to support the transformation programme, ensuring that messages are aligned with the overarching University change narrative and that they reach audiences at the right time.
You will plan and deliver effective communications to staff, students and other key stakeholders, bringing together the different elements of the programme to provide clear and engaging information. You will be experienced in using insight to ensure that communications are appropriately segmented and targeted, and you will also measure and evaluate key activities, applying learnings to improve communications.
