This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and highly motivated, early post-doctorate qualitative research fellow, interested in health services research and system leadership, and enthusiastic about the opportunity to undertake important, impactful research aimed at informing the NHS clinical & system leadership policy arena.
You will join a multi-disciplinary team across Warwick Medical School (WMS)and Warwick Business School WBS) that already includes several research, teaching, leadership and clinical colleagues. This mixed methods study is investigating the effectiveness of the Coventry & Warwickshire System & Clinical Leadership programme, its effect on meaningful and effective decision making by clinical leaders, and improvement in care and outcomes for patients across our population of just under a million people, as well as its wider and future applicability and sustainability.
The role is ideal for an enthusiastic post-doctorate researcher, ambitious to learn new skills, gain experience and consolidate on their interviewing and data analysis research skills within the context of a supportive team. Writing skills will be important - a large number of academic outputs, including a range of academic, policy-facing and public engagement materials, are planned, as well as working with our 4 clinical leadership fellows. The post holder will play a key role in contributing to their drafting.
You will be well supported and part of a dynamic, busy, professionally and intellectually demanding section, with an opportunity to develop and make a real difference to future leadership models regionally and nationally, patient care and outcomes.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
