Background
The central Admissions Office, which is led by the Head of Admissions, provides a number of essential services to the University which are central to the meeting of postgraduate recruitment targets and ensuring the admissions of high-quality students.
Responsibilities
The role of the PG Admissions Officer includes processing student applications; researching qualifications; ensuring UKVI compliance in the case of international applications; answering enquiries via email, phone, customer enquiry management system, and in-person; attending recruitment events and representing City at external recruitment fairs and completing data checks for annual reporting. There is potential to lead on projects such as scholarships, data quality and reports or events. The postholder will be the first point of contact for queries from School colleagues as well as applicants.
Person Specification
You will have experience of managing a busy and varied workload, in a pressurised environment. Demonstrable knowledge of customer service based activities together with strong administrative skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously. Attention to details, with the ability to work with sensitive data in accordance with Data Protection and other professional guidelines.
