The post-holder will assist the NI Clinical Research Facility (NICRF), to catalyse our clinical trial growth and high-quality research excellence in clinical trial delivery. The post holder will assist in the planning and delivery of research programmes within the NICRF.

The Clinical Trial Practitioner will become an integral member of the NICRF and will support the general running of the Facility as well as participate in established and new projects.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Honours degree in a relevant subject and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in research or clinical practice OR substantial relevant experience in research or clinical practice.
  • Experience of research governance and regulatory approvals.
  • Experience of analysing and communicating research data effectively across a range of settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative.
  • Relevant computing skills including Microsoft office packages.
  • Willingness to contribute to the School and project outreach activities in a professional manner.
  • Ability to build contacts and participate in internal and external networks.
  • Good team-working skills in multiple team settings as well as leadership qualities. Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to be flexible to meet the deadlines of the post.
  • Willingness to handle participant samples.
  • Willingness to travel, as required.
