About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Jayne Baker (Interim Director of HR Shared Services) at Jayne.Baker.1@warwick.ac.uk.
The University of Warwick is seeking a Head of People Operations and Service Delivery to lead and oversee the effective delivery of our People administration and operational services. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing the teams that handle key activities such as recruitment, people lifecycle administration, immigration, pensions, and employee processes, ensuring that high standards of service are maintained across all areas.
As a strategic leader, you will take ownership of monitoring KPIs and SLAs, driving continuous improvement through process review, automation, and digitalisation of systems. You'll champion the introduction of new technologies that enhance efficiency and customer service, helping us to stay at the forefront of People Operations excellence. Working closely with other senior leaders and partners across the University, you will ensure that our People operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned with the University’s strategic goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and drive forward innovative practices in a dynamic, supportive, and fast-paced environment.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Head of People Operations with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence. You will have extensive knowledge and experience in people administration, recruitment, and lifecycle management, as well as a strong understanding of compliance and best practice in People Operations.
You will be an inspirational leader who can motivate and develop your team, provide subject matter expertise, and ensure the delivery of outstanding service. Your approach will be data-driven, with a focus on continuous process improvement, digitalisation, and enhancing the overall employee experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working across various stakeholders to ensure the alignment of operational activity with the wider People Strategy. You will also be a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all People Operations processes reflect the University’s core values.
