An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, organised and driven individual to join the Sportspark at the University of East Anglia as Duty Manager to ensure the efficient operation and delivery of the highest standards of service, safety and customer care across the premises at all times.
You will deliver the essential provision of operational ‘Manager on Duty’ shifts as well as additional support to the Heads of Department and Senior Management Team in the attainment of business objectives and Health and Safety and service standards.
As a key member of the operational management team, you’ll assist in communication with, and management of, employees in order to ensure adequate cover is maintained across the building whilst ensuring they deliver the highest operational standards possible.
You will be exceptionally well-organised and self-motivated with an attention to detail and the ability to remain calm in demanding situations. Your experience of supervising a team of staff within a sports centre, alongside your knowledge of the working practices of leisure complexes will allow you to lead your team on shift and ensure the efficient operation and delivery of the highest standards of service, safety and customer care across the premises at all times.
You will need to hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or have the ability to obtain the qualification within three months of appointment.
This full-time post is available from 3 February 2025 on an indefinite basis.

Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
