The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
In addition, in early 2025 we will be moving to a new, modern campus building adjacent to our current location offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Marketing Manager and part of the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Department, you will take a lead role in steering the marketing function driving innovation in how UoSiL connects with its audiences and contributing to the strategic direction and accomplishments of the team. The role demands someone who can lead a team, inspire creativity, maintain a student-centred approach, and navigate the complexities of higher education marketing with strategic insight and a cooperative approach. This is a broad, varied and fast-paced role and you will be expected to work closely with colleagues across the University to develop and implement marketing plans. The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet, manage a diverse portfolio and be able to move from creating content one day, to strategic planning the next.
To excel in this role, you will have experience of planning, drafting and executing of marketing plans, working across the marketing mix and in multi-channel campaign delivery. The ability to understand the information needs of different audience groups is key, as well as your experience of managing a team.
