Lecturer: £48,039 to £57,797, with potential progression to £70,000 per annum
Senior Lecturer: £60,099 to £69,505 per annum, with potential progression to £85,000 per annum
A rare opportunity to join the globally-recognised Cranfield Centre for Air Transport Management (CATM), we welcome applications from passionate educators to join our team.
About the Role
As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer within CATM, you will play a significant role in the development and delivery of high-quality teaching at the post-graduate level as well as designing and delivering continuous professional development short courses.
This role involves supervising Master’s and PhD students, undertaking leadership of defined Modules of study within the MSc programme, undertaking research projects and being involved in the generation of new business, as well as the management of commercial and consultancy projects.
A Senior Lecturer will also be expected to play a strong leadership role, providing creative approaches to ensuring education content and delivery are consistently innovated to address the contemporary issues and needs of the aviation industry and students of air transport management. You will be required to undertake course management, business development, consultancy and research proposals and represent the Centre to senior internal and external stakeholders.
About You
With a post-graduate qualification related to aviation or air transport management, ideally educated to doctoral level, or equivalent industry experience, you will have a passion for aviation and a commitment to academic teaching and research. With excellent communication skills, you will have experience of teaching, training, research and project management. You will be experienced in designing, developing and delivering post-graduate education, continuous professional development courses, research and projects. You will bring curiosity and creative thinking to developing our educational and research activities, with relevance to aviation industry needs and requirements. Confident and capable of interacting with external industry partners, you will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, commercially astute and intellectually versatile.
