About the Post
Are you passionate about higher education and providing opportunities for anyone to enhance their knowledge, skills and research? Do you have a strategic vision and the ability to lead transformative initiatives? The University of Suffolk is seeking an innovative Provost to join our Executive team.
The Provost will be responsible for the strategic leadership and direction of the educational and academic functions of the University. This role involves overseeing academic standards, curriculum development, quality assurance, pedagogy, teaching and learning, and enhancing of the students’ academic experience.
Additionally, the Provost will, through the provision of critical analysis and support ensure that expert advice is given to the Vice-Chancellor and members of the Executive Committee on national and international higher education policy development and other trends likely to impact the sector and university. The Provost will ensure that the Vice-Chancellor is suitably briefed to work with a wide range of audiences.
The Provost will lead and co-ordinate a range of projects for pan-University initiatives and work closely with academic and commercial partners, ensuring a collaborative and strategic approach to all partnership activity aligned to the university strategy.
About You

You will be an inspirational leader with a proven track record of driving pedagogic change and enhancing the student experience. You will be innovative, collaborative, and able to engage effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders to implement changes that benefit student outcomes and experiences. Additionally, you will be an experienced and effective people and performance manager, capable of working seamlessly with colleagues across the university and with external partners. A strong commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the university community is essential.
