About the role

This post aims to support the expanding capacity of UCL CIMEC to deliver knowledge transfer activities with both national and international partners and to ensure the UCL CIMEC team can deliver timely, high-quality support to a range of existing projects which currently include supporting new university programmes in Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

The UCL CIMEC Project Manager will:

  • Provide proactive leadership and project management expertise.
  • Ensure robust delivery of projects and associated activities.
  • Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including international partners and collaborators.
  • Consider and measure how projects should proceed to achieve the desired quality for deliverables taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Be responsible for effective management of project risks and compliance.
  • Utilise creative problem-solving skills and quickly develop an understanding of the wider project context.
  • Collaborate with the wider UCL CIMEC and UCL delivery teams. Lead and/or participate in multi-projects.
  • Work closely with UCL CIMEC colleagues to ensure effective planning and management of project activities.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality project outputs.

Appointment details:

  • The post is grade 7, the annual salary for which ranges from £43,124 to £51,610 (including London Allowance).
  • The appointment is available asap.

About you

The successful candidate will have relevant equivalent level of knowledge acquired through experience and training/development of degree.

The post holder will have proven experience of successfully managing a project through the full life cycle and critical thinking and problem-solving skills to solve challenges proactively and creatively.
