Anatomy Administrator

About the role

Brighton and Sussex Medical School is seeking to appoint an experienced administrator to join BSMS to support the Anatomy team. Our Anatomy team now delivers teaching to over 400 medical students and over 1300 allied health students and trainees a year.

You will be required to assist with the provision of anatomy teaching and research for medical students and clinical faculty. You will be required to sometimes walk into the Dissecting Room, a licensed premises under the Human Tissue Act. You will be responsible for supporting activities including organising external courses who hire the facility for teaching and surgical training as well as supporting teachers who work in the NHS.

About you

You will be an enthusiastic individual with good common sense. Good record keeping and attention to detail will be important. You will be able to demonstrate well developed communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

In addition to the responsibilities set out below, you may also be asked to cover general administration tasks for wider BSMS staff beyond the Anatomy Office for example invigilating and volunteering your time at OSCEs.
