The University of Liverpool, a prestigious Russell Group institution, seeks a Lecturer in Signal Processing for Health Data Science. Join our globally recognised Signal Processing Group within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, where innovation meets real-world impact.

Over the past five years, the group has expanded to over 80 researchers excelling in Bayesian inference, statistical signal processing, and machine learning. Led by Professor Simon Maskell, the group has a global reputation for advancing novel methodologies that address complex challenges driven by our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and publish high-quality research in Bayesian inference, signal processing, machine learning, or related areas.
  • Secure external research funding and lead collaborative projects with non-academic partners.
  • Deliver inspiring undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Supervise PhD students and mentor junior researchers.

About You:

  • PhD in Signal Processing, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Proven research excellence, with a strong publication record.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, programming (Python and C++) and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience of delivering research solutions that solve real-world problems.
