The role
The School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to perform cutting-edge academic research on the dynamics of many-body quantum systems and quantum field theory. The post-holder will join the research group of Dr. Mike Blake, with a focus on many-body quantum chaos, transport in strongly correlated systems and entanglement dynamics. Applicants from any area of theoretical/mathematical physics whose research connects to these topics are encouraged to apply - including those from high energy theory, condensed matter, quantum information theory and mathematical physics backgrounds.
The position is expected to be available for 3 years, with an anticipated start date of 1st September 2025.
What will you be doing?
This position is supported by a research grant of Dr. Blake. Post-holders will be expected to work on research topics broadly connected to the themes of the project, with Dr. Blake and/or independently.
