The Role
Kingston University is seeking to appoint an Interim Head of Health & Safety. Reporting to the University Secretary within the University’s Directorate for Corporate Services the post holder will act as professional lead for Health and Safety across the University for a period of 6 months.

As Interim Head of Health & Safety and Security Strategy you will be accountable for ensuring that the University has effective arrangements in place to protect the health, safety and welfare of all building users, University assets and the estate. You will provide advice and guidance on all matters of health, safety and security strategy and compliance issues to all areas of the University.

The Person
We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety leader, with a proven track record of delivering a comprehensive health and safety provision successfully, to lead and develop the strategic direction of health and safety management across a diverse, complex organisation. With a background and professional qualification in the health and safety industry, you will possess a proven track record of delivering health and safety management initiatives that promote a positive culture of Health and Safety and drive performance improvement.

Directorate/Function
Corporate Services is led by the University Secretary. Its work focusses upon creating and maintaining a robust infrastructure to support good corporate governance, compliance and decision-making within the University; ensuring that the University meets its statutory and legal obligations.

Further Information
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 6 months with a starting salary of £59,654.00 per annum.
