We have an exciting opportunity for a team leader position in a newly formed team of student operations and course administrators.
The University is undergoing a transformational change project which sees the convergence of teams formerly based in academic schools and central services. As a key member of the course administration and student operations team, you will work with your counterparts in supporting the Head of Section through the early stages of this significant change management project.
This will be a great opportunity to help to define and develop a new approach to academic administration.
With support from the wider management team, you will lead a small team delivering course administration from enrolment to award, exam arrangements and logistics, graduation ceremonies, certificates and verifications.
Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, you will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with experience of managing people, processes and change. You will take a collaborative and inclusive approach to building relationships with colleagues across the institution, responding to students’ needs with empathy and fairness, and supporting academic colleagues to maintain regulatory compliance. You will have considerable experience of academic administration in a higher education institution with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Gold Award holder and Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award holder on our website.
Informal enquiries are welcome to the Head of Student Regulations and Course Administration, Jess Procter (j.procter@hud.ac.uk)
