Hourly Paid Independent Assessors
We are looking to recruit hourly paid independent assessors to conduct end-point assessments (EPAs) of our apprentices on our Ofsted Outstanding, award-winning Digital and Technology Solutions Professional and the Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist apprenticeship programmes.
Independent assessors need to be independent of the training delivery and will not have been involved with the apprentice's employment, have not taught on the Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist apprenticeship programmes at Manchester Metropolitan University.

As an independent assessor, you will be required to attend an induction to ensure you fully understand the EPA plan and have a detailed understanding of the external quality assurance requirements of the Office for Students.
In addition to the above, we require independent assessors to attend regular standardisation events (minimum one per year) and to ensure they are fully conversant with good assessment practice, operating assessment tools, and grading. All Independent assessors will need to meet Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education requirements.
Independent assessors are allocated 15 hours, including preparation, assessment, and moderation/standardisation, for each apprentice assessed against the Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist standard (15 hours @ £19.10 per hour = £286.50), and 7 hours for each apprentice assessed against the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional standard (7 hours @ £19.10 per hour = £133.70).
