About the role 

Reporting to the Senior Media Producer, you are a pivotal role in the Kings Digital production workstream, producing sector leading multimedia learning materials for delivery across the King's Digital portfolio of world-class online courses.   

Working collaboratively with academic and learning design specialists you will lead media production through ideation, production and sign off. Managing an allocation of courses, you will be responsible for translating each module’s requirements, advising on the appropriate formats to support learners, conceptualising media solutions for approval, and taking ownership of the full production process to realise them.   

You will balance creativity with stakeholder engagement to deliver ambitious productions in studio, on-location and remotely collaborating with other colleagues in the team such as Video Editors and E-Learning Visual Designers to achieve this.   

You will have creative flair, experience in all aspects of media production and in building stakeholder relationships as well as taking an active interest in the ways we can innovate our media offering, online deliverables and learning experiences.   

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract from 3rd February 2025 ending 30th September 2025.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria 

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with content teams to identify appropriate solutions to a media brief
  • A deep understanding of media production techniques
  • Experience in using industry-standard audio-visual equipment such as Sony FS5 and Zoom H5.
  • Experience in using Adobe CC Premiere Pro and Audition for editing
  • A good understanding of studio, on-location, and virtual production
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Competent at prioritising workload and managing multiple projects.

Desirable criteria 

  • Knowledge of task management tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Experience of content creation and learning design in an educational environment
  • Knowledge of accessibility legislation, and experience of producing inclusive content.
