The School of Health and Society is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Economist to join our multidisciplinary team of academics.

You will contribute to teaching, research and leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, primarily within public health modules, building on our strengths and developing new ideas to meet the demands of a changing world. You will be committed to developing and delivering high quality research, and education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are looking for a good team player who is willing to work on a variety of complex activities and tasks. You will also have the opportunity to contribute across the spectrum of academic work in the School through learning, teaching, research and enterprise.

There would also be an expectation that you have links with industry partners, or are willing to develop them.

A bit about The school of Health and Society, and our research centers.

The School of Health and Society provides education at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-qualifying levels. This is a diverse School, and the successful candidate would be expected to work across disciplinessupporting Health Economics teaching and research. Primarily you will contribute to teaching Economics and research within Public Health, being able to apply Health Economics to public health scenarios. With this position sitting jointly across Public Health and the School of Health and Society.

Our globally respected researchers have made positive change at local, regional, national and international levels and their work is fed back directly into our teaching.

The Centre for Research on Inclusive Society (CRIS) aims to foster interdisciplinary research on social in/exclusion broadly defined, to produce evidence-based research that informs policy development and social change towards a more inclusive society.

The Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR) works across professions and disciplines to conduct and support research that addresses challenges across health, well-being and social care.

The Centre for Human Movement and Rehabilitation delivers research addressing important health challenges which limit mobility, are associated with pain, and which can prevent people from living independently.
