The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator for the International Centre for Eye Health within the Department of Clinical Research. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, coordinating projects which strive to improve eye health worldwide.
You will be responsible for providing proactive financial, logistical and administrative support across several research and education projects in collaboration with managers, researchers and educators based in London, with activities at a number of overseas locations. The post-holder will also be required to support on various funding applications.
The successful applicant must be educated to degree level or equivalent or have substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education (or similar environment) and working closely with academic staff members. They must have strong administrative, financial & organisational skills, and an ability to assess priorities in order to manage workload and deadlines effectively. This post is available part-time or full-time (0.5-1.0FTE), based in London with a hybrid working pattern. The post is fixed-term and funded by Wellcome Trust and GiveWell for six months in the first instance. A shorter initial term would be acceptable. There may be an opportunity to extend and increase the FTE after this if further funding is secured.
Salary is on the Professional Support Grade 5 scale in the range £39,182- £44,847 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
