About the role
The Educational / Learning Technologist will be responsible for supporting and enhancing CLOSER's online learning provision, with a key focus on consolidating the existing Learning Hub and Training Hub into a single, user-friendly platform, and supporting the development and delivery of a suite of online asynchronous short courses.
This role involves working with the Head of Education and Training (ET) to develop high-quality, accessible online learning materials that meet the needs of researchers, data professionals and policy makers working with longitudinal population studies (LPS) data. This includes developing learning resources that adhere to accessibility standards and delivering presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions to our main audiences – students, academics and policy researchers. A key part of the role will involve incorporating user experience (UX) feedback to enable the continuous improvement of the online offerings.
The Educational / Learning Technologist will also be responsible for maintaining engagement with users by providing ongoing support and troubleshooting for the platforms. They will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the effective delivery of online learning content, as well as contributing to the wider activities of the CLOSER Education & Training team to support its mission to deliver comprehensive, accessible and high-quality learning resources and training.
The role is available until 30th September 2028 in the first instance.
