The Department of Student Support and Safeguarding wish to appoint a Programme Manager who will be responsible for developing and managing the University of Bath’s Claverton Scholarship Programme, a brand new APP initiative funded through philanthropy and designed to improve the experiences and outcomes of University of Bath students from under-represented backgrounds.
About the role
The Programme will bring together internal and external support and opportunities to create a cohesive package aimed at increasing student satisfaction and belonging and boosting employability.
The Programme Manager is key to ensuring the successful development and delivery of the Scholarship Programme and its objectives. You will develop excellent relationships with internal departments and services and external partners in order to devise a cohesive programme of opportunities and support for Scholars. You will develop and implement efficient systems to recruit and select appropriate students for the Programme, to encourage and monitor Scholar engagement and participation and to evaluate the impact of the Programme. As the programme develops, you will need to be continuously aware and responsive to external pressures and changes, such as employability trends, adapting the package accordingly to ensure it remains relevant.
As the institutional ambassador for the Claverton Scholarship Programme, you will be responsible for ensuring the programme is suitably promoted to all stakeholders, from senior University leaders to prospective students, and will liaise closely with the Advancement Team to strengthen donor engagement and ensure ongoing philanthropic support.
This position will sit within the Scholarships and Bursaries Team and you will work closely with the rest of the Team to deliver and develop the portfolio of scholarship and bursary provision, sharing expertise and collaborating on projects, events and communications.
About you
You must be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, have exceptional organisational and communication skills, have experience managing complex projects and have a demonstrable passion for ED&I initiatives. The ability to operate independently as well as in collaboration with tenacity and initiative and to be responsible is integral to the role.
