About the role:

We are currently seeking a Work Placement Co-ordinator to join our Centre Administration department at The Bedford College group.

As a Coordinator you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • To assist in sourcing work experience, industry placements and work-related activities for students.
  • To ensure a high quality placement experience is provided for students (Study programme and T-Level placements)
  • Use college platforms to log student data relating to work placement and employer engagement.

About you:

  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • A level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of handling enquiries and contacting employers or work placement organisations
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
  • Experience of high volumes of work and ability to work consistently under pressure
  • Ability to provide accurate guidance to employers or work placement organisations
  • Ability to keep accurate records and provide reports
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with challenging situations
  • Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
